What I do

Some one who’s name I have no legal or personal authority to divulge asked me what I write today after seeing that I enjoy writing. I told them comedy scripts and dialogue; and they actually wanted to SEE some of it. I told them I’d post an excerpt from a script here on my tumblr, in what can only be seen as a clear attempt to embarrass myself. I’ve posted my crappy comics before, but not a drop of it since I started re-writing with the intent that it actually turn out well. I suppose this is a chance for you to see what I do with what should be far more of my spare time as well. That being said, I hope you enjoy this 2 page chunk of MBNJ entitled Den’s Big Adventure, located after the “read more” link.

I love this episode, it’s one of my favorites, actually. It’s not about Ned being sinister or ignorant, its about him learning compromise through Lisa. It’s even handed but still funny without being pushy or exclusionary. good writing trumps snarky miopic bullshit every time.

the embarrassingly low day 4! My favorite grass type…well ONE of my favorites is Vileplume! I have several favorites and I’m pretty sure they’re all POISON related. (the best type.) Vileplume was one of the first Pokemon that caught my little boy eyes because it was poisonous, weird AND cute. GOTTA HAVE ALL 3. I’ve had the same Vileplume since Sapphire, and HIS name is Viledoom. I will never be ashamed of that name.

Oh man these are harder to color then they are to draw! Day three of the Pokeddex! This is ACTUALLY my favorite dark type, Mandibuzz!  I was so eager to draw her that I had to draw her for flying! I love that she’s this bad ass lady figure that’s got more will power (see: hit points) than any other dark type. All other dark types seem frail in comparison. Not many flying types even come close to being as bad ass AND reserved as Mandibuzz. MINE IS NAMED COFFEE BECAUSE SHE IS DARK AND STRONG. Also there are Vultures in my town that live by the highschool and old folk’s communities and it makes it cool to see such an “exotic” seeming animal in my town and featured as such a cool gal in Pokemon.

Here’s my Pokeddex day 2! It’s Gallade! There simply isn’t a better fightin’ pokemon out there. hes eloquent and well mannered, and also has really cool arms and what I assume is hair. I honored him by very lazily drawing a piss poor version of the EXACT OFFICIAL POSE! I’m not too fond of this drawing! But it looks better than it did before I scanned it. so there.

So after a very long while of not drawing, I’ve decided to do the Pokeddex thing and draw some pokemon! This is DAY ONE because I’m so far behind. Porygon Z is my favorite normal type. It is one of the very few pokemon I wish I could have in real life, its incredibly cute and colorful and gets hyper beam. where does it even shoot the beam from?? That’s why he’s so great.
